Season 4 is the socket season. Seeds are extracted from your old Excellent and Set gear, fused with Spheres into Seed Spheres, and mounted into socketed items to build the options you actually want. Alongside it: the frozen map of Laclion with the Selupan boss in its hatchery, twenty new socket items, rank 4 of the master skill trees, seven new class skills and the Summoner's Lagle.
The socket system

The socket system lets you put the options you want onto an item by mounting an attribute item — a Seed Sphere — into an empty socket. The whole loop runs extraction → synthesis → mounting → destruction, and every part of it (Seeds, Spheres and Seed Spheres) can be sold, bought, traded in personal shops and kept in the warehouse.

1. Extraction
Extraction turns an old Excellent or Set item into a Seed carrying a specific option. It is done at the Seed Master in Elbeland, and the success chance depends on the material's level.
| Material | Condition | Used per attempt |
|---|---|---|
| Excellent item | +4 or higher only | 1 |
| Set item | +4 or higher only | 1 |
| Jewel of Harmony | Required | 1 |
| Jewel of Chaos | Required | 1 |
| Jewel of Creation | Required | 1 |
| Zen | Required | — |
On failure, the Excellent or Set item you fed in drops to a random level between +0 and +2, and every jewel is destroyed.

| Attribute | Options it can carry |
|---|---|
| Fire | Attack / magic power increase (per level) · attack speed increase · max attack / magic power · min attack / magic power · attack / magic power increase · reduced AG consumption |
| Water | Defence success rate · defence · shield defence · damage reduction · damage reflection |
| Earth | Vitality increase |
| Wind | Automatic life recovery · max life · max mana · automatic mana recovery · max AG · AG value |
| Lightning | Excellent damage · excellent damage rate · critical damage · critical damage rate |
| Ice | Life on monster kill · mana on monster kill · skill attack power · attack success rate · item durability |
Synthesis, mounting and destruction

2. Synthesis
A Sphere is a crystal-ball item that holds a Seed. On its own it has no effect and cannot be socketed — Spheres come only from monster drops, Seeds only from extraction. Fuse the two at the Seed Master and you get a Seed Sphere, which inherits the Seed's option and carries a numeric value. Spheres are graded by strength, and a higher grade means better option values; only one grade of Sphere shipped in this update.
| Material | Note | Used per attempt |
|---|---|---|
| Seed | From extraction | 1 |
| Sphere | From monster drops | 1 |
| Jewel of Chaos | Required | 1 |
| Jewel of Creation | Required | 1 |
| Zen | Required | — |
If synthesis fails, everything you put in is lost.

3. Mounting
Mounting puts a Seed Sphere into an empty socket, and is done at the Seed Researcher in Elbeland. Weapons only accept Fire, Ice and Lightning; armour only accepts Water, Wind and Earth. Materials are the socket item, the Seed Sphere, a Jewel of Chaos, a Jewel of Creation and Zen.
Bonus socket options
The order you mount them in matters. Certain three-attribute combinations roll an extra option on top of the Seed Spheres themselves.
| Item type | Combination | Option | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sword, axe, blunt, spear, bow, crossbow, scepter | Fire 1 → Lightning 1 → Ice 1 | Attack power +11 | 30% |
| Sword, axe, blunt, spear, bow, crossbow, scepter | Lightning 1 → Ice 1 → Fire 1 | Skill attack power +11 | 30% |
| Staff | Fire 1 → Lightning 1 → Ice 1 | Attack / magic power +5 | 30% |
| Staff | Lightning 1 → Ice 1 → Fire 1 | Skill attack power +11 | 30% |
| Helmet, armour, pants, gloves, boots, shield | Water 1 → Earth 1 → Wind 1 | Defence +24 | 30% |
| Helmet, armour, pants, gloves, boots, shield | Earth 1 → Wind 1 → Water 1 | Max HP +29 | 30% |
Set socket options
Counted across every socket item you are wearing, not per item.
| Seed Spheres worn in total | Option | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Fire 1, Water 1, Ice 1, Wind 1, Lightning 1, Earth 1 | Double damage rate +3% | 100% |
| Fire 1, Water 3, Ice 1, Wind 3, Lightning 1, Earth 2 | Attack ignoring enemy defence +1% | 100% |
4. Destruction
Destroying a mounted Seed Sphere strips its option off the item. The Seed Sphere is gone for good, and apart from the item itself the only cost is Zen. Also handled by the Seed Researcher.
Socket items

Socket items come from monster drops and drop only in Laclion. They roll the same options normal items do — additional attack power, additional defence, additional magic power, additional defence rate, Luck and automatic HP recovery. Each one carries 1 to 3 sockets, fixed at the moment it drops and impossible to change afterwards; bows can carry up to 5.

Laclion and Selupan

| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Entry level | 270 and above — Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord from 180 |
| Move command level | 280 and above — Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord from 186 |
| How to travel | /move Laclion in the move or chat window |
| Cost | 15,000 Zen |
| Layout | Safe zone, general hunting grounds and the hatchery — connected to Devias |
The hatchery is the point of the map. You can move in and out of it freely until Selupan appears; after he spawns and a certain amount of time has passed you can neither enter the hatchery nor use Sherman.
The Selupan fight
Selupan appears when you destroy the spider eggs inside the hatchery. For 5 minutes after he spawns you can still move freely; after that the entrance closes and whoever is inside is committed. He uses powerful and varied attacks and drops high-grade items.

Selupan's attack and defence values were left blank in the original patch note — only his level, health and defence success rate were published.
New class skills
Seven stronger skills were added for the existing classes. They are not trained — the orbs, spell books and scrolls that teach them drop from monsters of level 100 and above.
| Skill | Class | Learned from | Requirement | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strike of Destruction | Blade Knight and above | Strike of Destruction orb | Level 220+ | A successful hit chills the target, slowing its movement |

Lagle was contracted in the other world of Kalun and is known as the guide of misfortune. Wherever it appears, plague and decay spread, and human envy and anger run out of control. Equip the Book of Lagle and you can cast Pollution.

Event map schedule and rewards
The event map timetable was rewritten, cutting the total number of daily openings from 42 to 36 and rebalancing which map runs when.
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Total openings per day | 42 | 36 |
| Blood Castle | 12 | 12 |
| Devil Square | 8 | 6 |
| Chaos Castle | 6 | 6 |
| PC Bang Chaos Castle | 6 | 6 |

Experience from event maps below Master Level grade was increased, and the materials for the entry tickets stopped dropping from monsters — you now buy them from the NPC shop and craft the tickets yourself.
Chaos Castle rewards

|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 2 |
| 2 | 1 | 3 |
| 3 | 1 | 3 |
| 4 | 2 | 2 |
| 5 | 2 | 3 |
| 6 | 2 | 3 |
| 7 | 2 | 4 |
Among the first-place rewards, the chance of a Jewel of Creation dropped slightly and the chance of a Jewel of Life rose slightly.
Other system changes
| Area | Change |
|---|---|
| Zen drops | The formula changed from EXP + 7 to EXP / 2. The Excellent option that raises Zen gained on a kill went from 40% to 30%, and shop potion prices rose slightly. |
| Item upgrading | Soul Stone success on Normal items +10%, and the combination rate for taking Normal items from +10 to +13 also +10%. Excellent, Set and level 380 items are unchanged; socket items sit below Normal items. |
| 3rd class change quests | The 3-1 quest now needs 1 of each item instead of 3; the 3-2 quest needs 20 monsters of each kind instead of 10. |
| Party set experience | The set experience bonus that only applied to Dark Knight / Elf / Dark Wizard parties now also applies to parties of Magic Gladiators, Dark Lords and Summoners. |
| Master skill values | The rank 2 prerequisite on every class's third tree was removed, and the Zen gain, max HP and experience values were retuned along with Blast, Soul Barrier and Hellfire enhancement. |
| Fruit | The maximum number of fruits usable per level was raised. |
| White Wizard event | Instead of appearing in Lorencia, Noria and Devias at once, the White Wizard now appears in a random two of the three. |
| Castle Siege | Gate and stone statue stats were all increased. |
| PC Bang points | Reset every Tuesday between 08:00 and 10:00. Points can now be spent anywhere (but still only earned in a PC Bang), you earn 1 point every 10 minutes after login instead of after a 30 minute wait, and points are doubled between 20:00 and 24:00. Seal and chest prices were adjusted, seal durations extended and the chest drop list changed. |
- The socket system: extract a Seed, fuse it with a Sphere, mount the Seed Sphere, destroy it to undo.
- Weapons take Fire, Ice and Lightning seeds; armour takes Water, Wind and Earth.
- Mounting order matters - three-attribute sequences roll bonus options at 30%.
- Socket items drop only in Laclion and carry 1-3 sockets (bows up to 5), fixed at drop time.
- Laclion opens at level 270, and Selupan spawns when you destroy the spider eggs in the hatchery.
- Rank 4 master skills, seven new class skills, and Lagle plus the Demonic set for the Summoner.
